The Ramdung Go trekking area of the Rolwaling region is again an unspoiled trekking destination. Trekking to Ramdung Go in the Rolwaling region is one of the best trekking routes in Nepal for those who want to avoid busy trails. It is not lacking in attractions, with majestic mountain views and beautiful waterfalls, Tso Rolpa Lake, isolated monasteries and remote but beautiful, picturesque Sherpa, Tamang and Chhetri villages.
This trek offers you marvellous vistas of snow-capped mountains, including Gauri Shankar, Menlungtse and Tashi Peak. The trip also gives you an opportunity to observe the local culture, customs and lifestyle of the Sherpa community here, which has not been affected by mass tourism. Their ways of life and traditions have remained intact.
The trekking to Ramdung Go begins from Dolakha, which is a 6hr drive from Kathmandu by bus. Our trail heads up to Jagat via Singati to Simigaon and Dhokang. From here we hike along the Rolwaling Khola via Ramding to the Na valley, where we camp for acclimatisation. When we are ready we visit Tso Rolpa lake. Subsequently, we continue our trekking from Na and then to the Yalung La Base Camp. Naturally we can expect fabulous panorama views. From there the route returns via Suri Dovan, Pikhuti and finally back to Dolakha for a bus to Kathmandu.
